G. Russell Washington
Russell Washington is a native of Durant, Oklahoma and graduated from Durant High School in 1988. He holds a Bachelor’s of Art in Political Science as well as a Juris Doctorate from Oklahoma City University.
Mr. Washington began his legal career with a three year associate position at the law firm of Carpenter and Laquer in Oklahoma City, practicing primarily in criminal defense. Mr. Washington opened a solo practice in Guthrie, Oklahoma, in 2003 and an office in Downtown Oklahoma City in 2007. He has returned to Durant and opened a third office to assist clients in Southern Oklahoma and North Texas.
In addition to being a member of the Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Mr. Washington is licensed to practice in Texas, Oklahoma, and the Western District Federal District Court of Oklahoma.
Rebecca J. King
Rebecca King graduated as Salutatorian and with a Diploma of Distinction from Rock Creek High School in Southeastern Oklahoma. She began working under Mr. Washington in 2004 . While employed under Mr. Washington, Ms. King completed a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in General Business at the University of Central Oklahoma.
Ms. King continued to work full-time with Mr. Washington while she pursued Law School as a night student at Oklahoma City University. Ms. King became a Licensed Legal Intern and practiced law under Mr. Washington’s supervision prior to receiving her Juris Doctorate from Oklahoma City University in December 2011.
After many years of working alongside Mr. Washington, Ms. King chose Criminal Defense as the focus of her practice. Ms. King maintains the offices in Guthrie and Oklahoma City assisting clients throughout Central Oklahoma.
Ms. King is a member of the Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, serves as Chair of the Associate Board for Oklahoma Lawyers for Children and received the 2015 Judge Nan J. Patton Service to Children Award.
